March 27 One of the eaglets comes back to the nest,
takes a fish in its talons, and lifts it in the air. It never
did eat much of it before it was off again in flight.
March 26 As of noon today, still only one of
the eaglets had fledged.

March 24 ONE EAGLET HAS FLEDGED!
The photos from today are posted for those
who are following the progress of the Llano
Bald Eagle nest. They are not for sale, but
for your information only.
Most were taken under extremely harsh
lighting conditions.

When we arrived at the nest before sunup, one eaglet was to the right of the nesting
tree, low to the ground. It then flew to the east of the nest.

The other eaglet looked many times like it was ready to fledge. It even got on a
limb outside the nest, but then turned...

and went back to the nest. About 1:30 the eaglet that had fledged flew back in to
the nest area (right) and eventually back to the nest to eat some of the American
Coot the adult had brought to the nest. It then lay down in the nest for a rest. It
had been a long tiring day.

March 22 As of 10:00 A.M. the eaglets had not yet
fledged.

March 22 Info only shot. The moon was nice behind
the nest this morning.

March 21 The adult eagle brought a fish and a bird
to the nest early in the morning.

March 21 As of noon the eaglets had not yet fledged.

March 21 However, this eaglet hovered so high over
the nest that it was above the treetop. It came right back
down.

March 19 Eaglets were really into picking up things
and practicing flapping today. Here it has some grass.
